PSG are keeping an eye on one of Real Madrid’s most highly-rated talents, young defender Joan Martinez, ahead of a possible move during the summer transfer window.
According to “Marca”, the French champions’ sporting advisor, Luis Campos, has been closely following the 18-year-old’s development and is constantly monitoring his progress.
Martinez is considered one of the jewels of La Fabrica and is seen as part of the future of Los Blancos, although he has yet to make his debut for the first team. He has been a regular starter for Castilla, and was also part of the team that won the UEFA Youth League.
The report adds that Real Madrid see him as a serious candidate to take the step towards the first team next season, which makes PSG’s interest even more significant.
The young defender’s contract with the Madrid club is valid until 2029 and includes a release clause of 150 million euros, which makes it an extremely difficult operation for anyone looking to transfer him.
