Federico Dimarco has been named Serie A MVP for the 2025/26 season, capping an extraordinary season in which the Inter left-back set a new all-time record for assists in a single season in the Italian top flight, while the Nerazzurri won the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia.
The full Serie A Award list for 2025/26:
Best player: Federico Dimarco (Inter)
Rising star: Kenan Yildiz (Juventus)
Best goalkeeper: Mile Svilar (Roma)
Best defender: Marco Palestra (Cagliari)
Best midfielder: Nico Paz (Como)
Best striker: Lautaro Martinez (Inter)
Best Coach: Cristian Chivu (Inter)
Dimarco contributed six goals and 18 assists in the league – the highest number of assists ever recorded in a single Serie A season.
The “Rising Star” award for Yildiz underlines Juventus’ faith in the young Turkish striker, despite a difficult season for the club, while the reward for Svilar crowns an excellent campaign by the Roma goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, Palestra’s award as the best defender, won during his loan to Cagliari from Atalanta, is expected to further increase interest in him this summer from Inter and other clubs.
As for Nico Paz, declared the best midfielder after a sensational season with Como, this assessment gives even more weight to the statements of Cesc Fabregas, who has insisted that the Argentine will either stay or join Real Madrid.
