A new problem for Barca – they may receive a suspension from UEFA

On top of all the problems they have faced since the arrival of Joan Laporta, Barcelona could face a UEFA ban for breaching Financial Fair Play rules in the 2020/21 season.

Again it is the fault of the previous management as Laporta and his team took over the club in March 2021. Barca are not the only club under threat, there are also PSG, Marseille, Inter, Roma and Juventus.

However, for Barca it would be a huge problem as the club tries to consolidate financially and return to the championship paths. A possible suspension from the Champions League would cut around 100 million euros from the upcoming season, which would be an extremely heavy blow for the Catalan giants.
