Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva could continue his career at Barcelona after his contract with Manchester City expires at the end of June.

According to reports from The Times , the Catalan club are working on signing the 31-year-old on a free transfer. Barcelona see Silva as an experienced and high-quality addition to their attacking midfield.

Atletico Madrid and Benfica are also in the running for the Portuguese’s services, however the player’s priority continues to be a move to Camp Nou.

Silva is also considering the possibility of ending his career at Benfica, but believes he can still play at the highest European level.

However, the financial aspect is not considered decisive for the Portuguese midfielder, who understands the role he can have at this stage of his career.
