Rafael Leao looks increasingly destined to leave Milan after the team’s failure to qualify for the 2026/27 Champions League, while the Portuguese international has also revealed which Premier League teams he “favourites” ahead of the summer transfer window.
Leao is a former Scudetto and Serie A MVP winner, having scored 80 goals in official matches during seven seasons with the Rossoneri.
However, after a difficult 2025/26 season, where he and his teammates remained out of the Champions League, despite being in second place for much of the championship, the chances of him leaving have increased significantly.
There have been suggestions that clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea or even Barcelona could be interested in a deal in the summer, if Leao becomes available in the transfer window.
Recent reports claim that he has no desire to move to either Galatasaray or Fenerbahce, nor to Saudi Arabia, despite rumoured interest.
As speculation about his future continues, the striker gave an interview to the Cernucci Podcast, where he talked about his favorite teams in the Premier League.
“Yes, of course,” he replied when asked if he follows the Premier League much.
“I like (Manchester) United because my idol is Cristiano Ronaldo, so I watched them back then. I also like Arsenal,” the Portuguese declared.
