In an interview with the French newspaper L’Equipe, the representative of the Ivory Coast now reveals which footballers impressed him the most at Old Trafford and interestingly the stopper “forgot” Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I met many great players in Manchester. But if I have to talk about everyone who impressed me, then we will never finish this interview”, said Bailey, and then he became specific:
“There was incredible talent, both old and young. I was really impressed by someone like Marcus Rashford, but also Anthony Martial.”
Speaking of incredible talents, Bailey either forgot about the Portuguese he was playing with or simply chose to ignore him on purpose.
Bai and the five-time World Player of the Year played for Manchester United last season but rarely played together.
But it’s another low blow for the Portuguese: since this season, the former Real star has been a shadow of his former self. In ten games for United, the 2016 European champions have scored just two goals, attracting attention mostly for unmotivated behavior and boredom.
Now the story of his departure has been rekindled and there is a possibility that he could leave Old Trafford in January.
