Brazilian football star Hulk (39) has married Camila Angelo in a religious ceremony, a union that has attracted widespread attention due to its unusual family ties. Camila is the niece of Hulk’s ex-wife, Iran Angelo, to whom he was married for 12 years.
Hulk and Camila have been in a relationship for around four years. The couple already share one child, born two years ago, and are now expecting another baby. Later this year, they are set to welcome a son, which will bring Hulk’s total number of children to five. He has three children from his previous marriage to Iran Angelo.
Camila is two years younger than Iran, and the two women are often noted for their striking physical resemblance. Hulk’s marriage to Iran ended after his relationship with Camila became public, a development that caused deep emotional pain within the family.
Speaking to Portuguese media, Iran Angelo later opened up about the trauma she experienced following the divorce. She said she still struggles to come to terms with what happened, describing the situation as a betrayal not only by her husband, but also by her niece.
“It feels like I buried a living daughter,” Iran said. “I wake up and go to sleep without understanding why all of this happened to me. The pain is enormous. Sometimes I feel like my heart is being ripped out. She was like a daughter to me. I gave her everything from the moment she was born—love, dedication, attention, respect. Not just material things, but everything that truly matters.”
On the sporting side, Hulk is approaching the final stages of his professional career and is currently playing in Brazil. Last season, he made 61 appearances for Atlético Mineiro, scoring 21 goals and providing 8 assists.
Hulk first gained international fame during his time at FC Porto, before moving to Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2012. He later spent five years playing in China. With the Brazilian national team, he earned 49 caps and scored 11 goals.
While his football career remains successful, Hulk’s personal life continues to draw intense public and media attention.
