Cristiano Ronaldo has been the “target” of attacks more and more recently and pointed out as the main culprit of bad influence both at the club and at the national level. Because of that, Ronaldo was terminated from Manchester United’s contract, and lost his place in the starting team in the Portuguese national team.
Although many believe that it is Ronaldo who creates the negative atmosphere in the national team by refusing to train with the reserves, fights and at any cost wants him to be recorded as the scorer of a goal scored by his teammate and several other situations, in defense one of the best coaches of today, Carlo Ancelotti, stood by the legendary football player.
“Where’s the problem?” I don’t know, maybe he still feels like a 20-year-old because he’s in great shape. Throughout his career, he took great care of his body, but the fact is that now the competition is greater. As far as problems go, Ronaldo was the man to solve all problems, not create them. I trained him for two years and never had any problems. He averaged one goal per match, how can that be a problem? He always trained well, he paid attention to every detail. It was very easy for me with him, he is an amazing player,” said Ancelotti, who coached Real for two years during Ronaldo’s tenure, and together they won four trophies, the most valuable of which was the Champions League in 2014.
Ancelotti is now back on the Real bench, but Ronaldo left the Santiago Bernabeu in 2018. The Portuguese is currently without a club and it will certainly be known in January where he will continue his career.
