Inter Milan striker Ange-Yoan Bonny has successfully completed his nationality change and will be available for selection by Ivory Coast when they announce their squad for the 2026 World Cup.

French-born Bonny’s request to change his footballing nationality from France, for which he played for the Under-21 team two years ago, was approved by world football’s governing body, FIFA.

The official announcement of the acceptance of the request came on Friday, where the Inter star was received by the Ivory Coast ambassador in Italy, wearing the national team’s jersey.

Bonny, 22, is originally from Ivory Coast and is expected to be included in the 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup.

He helped Inter win the Serie A title this season, proving to be an excellent substitute for the Italian club with five league goals.

Ivory Coast is in Group E of the World Cup with Ecuador, Germany and CuraƧao.

Bonny could make his pre-tournament debut when the Ivory Coast take on France in Lens on June 4 in a friendly.
