The president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, expressed optimism that in Barcelona they will be able to register all new reinforcements for the new season.
He also commented on the situation with Frankie de Jong, whom Barcelona wants to sell in order to free up salary space for new players.
“We are following them, but when they show us the documentation from the financial levers and the players they have to sell, we will see if they register all the new ones. They know what they have to do. “I think they still have some work to do to achieve everything they need, but they are on the right track,” said Tebas.
“Will they succeed for the start of La Liga?” Ask Barcelona. I can tell that they know the rules well and know what they have to do. They still have work to do, but they have time to do it. The club sold 10% of the television rights for 207 million euros. Then this part increased to 25% which I think brought them another 350 million. This is already 500 million euros, and I think they have another financial leverage for another 200 million. With these actions and if they sell some players, it explains why they have the ability to attract players. They could sell property, something they had to do, as well as cut wages. This allows them to take new reinforcements,” says Tebas.
