Real Madrid are preparing for major changes after a disappointing season, with the club prioritizing the appointment of a new coach and reinforcements in defense.
Jose Mourinho is now seen as the main candidate to take over the team, as Florentino Perez is willing to entrust him with the project if the Portuguese accepts his return.
Mourinho is said to have been fully informed about the situation within the club and is seriously considering the possibility of returning, while Real Madrid believe that a large part of the current team can improve under the right leadership.
At the same time, Madrid are planning three or four signings in the defensive department, at a time when the future of several players remains unclear – including David Alaba, Ferland Mendy and Dani Carvajal.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Antonio Rudiger, Dean Huijsen and Alvaro Carreras are currently considered key parts of the plans for next season.
In the offensive department, Real Madrid are not expected to make major changes. Endrick and Nico Paz are scheduled to return, while the core of the project will continue to be built around Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe.
There may also be changes in midfield after recent concerns about Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni, but defense remains the sector where the club intends to intervene most strongly.
