Fernando Santos’ Portugal face Switzerland in the last 16 of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, but the Ronaldo issue has become a concern.

As for the fact that in a recent poll, 70% of Portuguese would not want Ronaldo in the lineup against Switzerland, despite his desire to score goals to improve his personal statistics, Santos replied: “I only have 3 days to prepare for the match and I don’t think much about what is said outside the training camp. With a clear conscience I will always choose the formation that suits me best for the match, I want to serve good for Portugal and the national team.
