Questions are once again being raised about Vinicius Junior’s future at Real Madrid, after footage was released showing him clashing with club president Florentino Perez.
With just six matches remaining until the end of the La Liga season, the title race between historic rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid is heating up.
Barcelona currently leads the standings with 82 points after a 1-0 win over Celta Vigo on Wednesday night, while Real Madrid is in second place with 73 points.
With the gap now at nine points and just six weeks to go, it’s understandable that Real Madrid fans are already starting to look ahead to the summer transfer window.
As usual, Los Blancos are being linked with some big names, but perhaps the biggest transfer story surrounding the club relates to the future of one of their current players, Vinicius Junior.
Vinicius has long been rumored to be leaving the Bernabeu, but it seems a transfer could be closer than ever, after the Brazilian was seen making a passionate approach to president Perez.
Perez was waiting in the Bernabeu tunnel to greet the team’s players when Vinicius approached him. Although he shook the club president’s hand, he then violently clashed with the 79-year-old.
The Real Madrid boss immediately turned and looked at Vinicius in surprise, clearly taken aback by the action, while the Brazilian seemed to ignore the reaction and continued on his way down the tunnel.
Just moments later, Kylian Mbappe arrived, making the incident with Vinicius seem even more serious, as he hugged Perez and patted him on the back, as a sign of affection.
