Croatian Igor Tudor’s French adventure could end before it got off to a good start (with the first Ligue 1 challenge scheduled for Sunday, against Reims). As the French media inform, Marseille is experiencing a deep crisis, as the training methods of the Croatian coach are not liked in the dressing room by the team that seems destabilized after the departure of Jorge Sampaoli.
The relationship between the coach and the team is very tense, as the technician, charming off the field, transforms in the dressing room and on the playing field. “He doesn’t hesitate to face the players by screaming”, declared an inside source for the daily “La Provence”. The same newspaper writes that the captain of the team, Dimitri Payet, has requested a meeting with the president Pablo Longoria precisely to discuss Tudor’s position and his working methods, which have created a climate of tension within the group.
All the rumors come after last month’s lightning split with his friend German Camoranesi, who resigned, over the differences he had with Tudor, confronting him even in front of the group. His former team-mate from his Juve days was destined to cover the role of Tudor’s right-hand man, but left after just one week of working with him.
