Jose Mourinho Return at Real Madrid – Florentino Perez Finishes The Deal

News

Jose Mourinho is back in the spotlight at Real Madrid.

According to Spanish media reports, Florentino Perez has already reached an agreement that would pave the way for the Portuguese coach to return to the Los Blancos bench, should he win the club’s presidential elections on June 7.

The report published by “AS” states that the deal has been finalized with the help of super agent Jorge Mendes and also includes Mourinho’s current club, Benfica.

Initially, the Portuguese were asking for around 15 million euros gross to release the 63-year-old coach, but the parties have found a compromise by giving Benfica the advantage in securing his successor, Marco Silva.

The Fulham manager, who is also managed by Jorge Mendes, is considered the leading candidate to take over at Benfica.

This formula is expected to satisfy all parties involved in the operation, including Real Madrid, Mourinho, Benfica and Fulham.

According to the same sources, the officialization of Mourinho’s return could happen within three days after the presidential elections, if Florentino Perez manages to secure a new mandate.

Jose Mourinho sends Real Madrid a document with 4-6 transfers requested this summer

Meanwhile, “The Special One” is said to have already started work on the new sports project and has submitted the first report with requests for the transfer window.

Mourinho is looking for numerous reinforcements in the squad, including one or two centre-backs, a right-back, a left-back and two midfielders.

However, his return to the Santiago Bernabeu remains directly linked to the election result, as only a victory for rival Enrique Riquelme would stop this scenario.

Jose Mourinho managed Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, winning La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup, and his return would be one of the most sensational moves in European football.
