Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski has accused the leaders of his former club Bayern of spreading lies about his departure from the club.
The Polish footballer decided to leave the ranks of the Bavarian giant after eight years and did everything to leave the club. After his departure, he claimed Bayern’s top brass should stop spreading lies about him.
It was said that Lewa was offended because Bayern wanted to replace him with Erling Haaland. He says that is not true.
“It has nothing to do with Erling. I am a person for whom the truth is most important, even when it is bad for me. I don’t want to tell you exactly what happened, but it’s not because of him. I don’t see why it would be a problem if he came here,” Lewandowski told ESPN and continued the story:
“Certain people lied to me, they said one thing and did another. I wanted everything to be clean and for some it was obviously a problem. I felt it and knew it was the right time to leave the club.”
He will never forget his time at Bayern. There he won everything he could, but now new challenges are ahead of him. However, it bothers him that everything was not quite right when he left.
“I feel like I’m in the right place. It was time for a new chapter in life. Dota politics were there in the last weeks when I wanted to leave. The club was trying to find a reason for selling me because it is difficult to explain everything to the fans.”
I had to accept such an attitude even though a lot of nonsense and bullshit was said about me. Those were not true, but I know that even today the fans are on my side,” said Lewandovski.
