Real Madrid, fresh into their pre-season, faced some injuries even before their first game.

Of course, the team was without Karim Benzema for the game against Barcelona, but he returned to the starting XI against Club America despite being doubtful for the game for a few seconds due to a tackle by Vinicius Tobias that left a scar on his leg.

Another player, Dani Carvajal, was facing problems ahead of the game vs Barcelona, and he missed the game against Club America as well.

Well, the player trained today, and according to the coach, to the reports, he will play against Juventus as well.

It’s really important for Real Madrid to have Dani Carvajal back in time for the game vs Juventus. Of course, that game is a friendly, it doesn’t really matter who wins and who loses, however, it still has some pros, one of which is getting players back into match fitness.

Till now, Carvajal hasn’t played a minute of football since his heroic Champions League final performance vs Liverpool, but now, he can play around 45 to 60 minutes and get fit for the game vs Frankfurt on the 10th of August.

The player has been facing too many injuries in the last two to three years, which is simply not great. Of course, Real Madrid need to keep this in mind and look at his physical attributes through this season, because if the problems persist, they might have to open the chequebook and sign another right-back as soon as they’re able to.

It’s a really important position, and going up against the world’s best wingers, I would trust a fully fit Carvajal every single day, but we hardly see a fully-fit Carvajal, and the next-best option is Lucas Vazquez.
