Karim Benzema managed to win the Ballon d’Or on Monday night, the first of his trophy-laden career.

France Football magazine handed out the award last night, with the Real Madrid forward beating Sadio Mane and Kevin de Bruyne to the biggest individual trophy.

After receiving the Ballon d’Or, Benzema has been asked by the media where he wants to retire.

The 34-year-old player gave short and clear answers, saying that Real Madrid is the club where he wants to end his career.

“I will retire at Real Madrid, there is no other alternative for me”, he declared.
The renewal is a formality, president Florentino Perez will offer Benzema a contract that keeps him until 2024.
